Steve Winwood-Junction Seven (Virgin)

Once upon a time, Steve Winwood was a musical genius. A teen prodigy for bands like The Spencer Davis Group, Blind Faith and Traffic, he went on to record some very respectable solo albums in the '80's.

His first solo album in five years, Junction Seven, is further proof the glory years are far behind him. There is nothing on Junction Seven that wasn't stale when he did the same stuff on the Roll With It album in 1990. (9/97)
