Alien Fashion Show-Alien Fashion Show  (Compose)

This band is creating quite a little buzz in Los Angeles, and their debut disk shows they are worthy. Alien Fashion Show gracefully straddle the line between lounge jazz, rockabilly and rock and roll. These songs would feel equally comfortable in the 40's, the 50's and the 90's. Lead singer Eldon Daetweiler's smooth vocals surf over a swinging bed of guitar, bass and horns.

Styles stray from the rollicking rhythm and roll of "Rocket #95" to the jump shout boogie of "Mocambo" to the spaghetti western neo-Orbison vibe of "Bad Man On The Moon." Keep an eye out for Alien Fashion Show. It looks like a contender. (12/97)
