This dramatic and daring scene has Steve
McQueen’s character attempting to escape Nazi capture by racing across
country on a 1940s BMW boxer. Though ably maneuvering the bike across rough
terrain and successfully jumping a wooden fence, in the end, he crashes and
becomes entangled in barbed wire.
Terminator 2
Who can forget the awesome scene where
Arnold, on a Fat Boy Harley, rushes to the aid of John Connor. Racing
through traffic, Schwarzenegger guides the Harley with one hand while
pumping and shooting a shotgun with the other. Leaping off an embankment
wall, he catches up with Connor, snatching the boy from the dirt bike with
one hand.
This action packed scene has Morpheus,
Trinity and the Keymaker running from Agent Smith and company. In a last
ditch effort to escape, Trinity and the Keymaker hijack a Ducati 996 from a
transport trailer, sailing over the front of the truck and weave through
traffic on the expressway.
Mission Impossible II
This treacherous scene has Tom Cruise
racing down roads on a Triumph, swerving and skidding around traffic. He
encounters the villain at the sand dunes, where one bike flies over the
other. A heart stopping face off occurs, as each bike races toward the
other, culminating in each rider leaping from their bike and colliding in
mid-air.
Knight and Day
Tom Cruise and his reluctant counterpart,
played by Cameron Diaz, race through the streets of Spain, while jumping
traffic and running with the bulls. At one point, in self defense, Cameron
swivels to the front of Cruise in order to unload a clip at the pursuing
villains.
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life
Just to show that ladies love their bikes
as much as men, this scene has Angelina Jolie competing with Gerard Butler,
where she performs such acrobatic feats that include leaping off the Great
Wall of China and popping wheelies behind her frenemy.
